Senior Accountant

If you are looking for a rewarding accounting job opportunity, consider joining our team as a Senior Accountant. We are looking for an experienced individual who will work closely with the controller, maintaining financial statements, analyzing results and assisting department managers to improve their bottom lines. The Senior Accountant will work out of our corporate office located at 2970 Chapel Valley Road, Suite 203 in Madison.

Essential functions include:

  • Oversee analysis of accounts payable and receivable functions
  • Prepare financial statements and analyze financial reports
  • Maintain company accounting procedures and processes
  • Record financial information for analysis
  • Forecast and plan for future needs
  • Assist with audits and other accounting functions
  • Prepare financial reports for regulatory agencies
  • Maintain account balances and bank statements and monitor cash positions
  • Manage general ledger and assist month-end/year-end close processes
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Additional information:

  • Full-time, salary, exempt

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field
  • CPA license is preferred
  • Once to three years’ previous experience as an accountant
  • Excellent computer skills and demonstrated knowledge of Office 365
  • Proficiency with accounting software
  • Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and GAAP
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative to develop process efficiencies
