Hole in One Could Win a Car at Golf Outing Sept. 22

An early autumn day playing golf for charitable purposes is a great way to bring friends together to enjoy camaraderie on the course, as well as a chance to win a car. Monday, Sept. 22, at Hawks Landing Golf Club, the golfer who scores a hole in one at hole #4 will win a 2014 Honda CRV LX, courtesy of Zimbrick Honda.
The golf outing is a new event to support Independent Living, Inc., a local nonprofit with services for seniors and adults with disabilities. For the event, Zimbrick Honda generously agreed to sponsor four hole-in-one prizes:
- Hole #4 2014 Zimbrick Honda CRV LX
- Hole #8 3 nights/2 rounds Stay & Play Vacation to TPC San Antonio golf club
- Hole #13 Set of TaylorMade Rocketbladez Irons
- Hole #16 Travis Mathew Head-to-Toe Signature Outfit plus $500 online shopping spree
For many years, Zimbrick Honda employees have helped Independent Living’s Evening Meals on Wheels program with deliveries.
In anticipation of a gorgeous fall day Sept. 22, the golf outing begins with an early lunch followed by a shotgun start at noon at Hawks Landing in Madison. Registration cost is $200 per person, which covers the fee, golf cart, lunch, gift bag and post-play reception. Event registration—and sponsorship information—is easily available online.
Foursomes are encouraged, notes Nicole Schultz, fund development director at Independent Living and key contact for the golf outing. “What better way to enjoy the day than in the good company of friends? Or show off your improved golf swing and see how your colleagues do in a friendly competition with you!” she says with a grin. For questions, contact Schultz at 608-268-9631 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
The golf event was instigated by Wegner CPAs, a longtime supporter of Independent Living, Inc. The accounting firm is committed to community involvement where they have offices in Dane, Sauk, Rock and Waukesha counties.
All proceeds from the golf outing benefit seniors and adults with disabilities in Dane County served by Independent Living. Services are offered through in-home care, home health care and senior housing options in Madison, Fitchburg and Sun Prairie.
