DeWitt, Jaffery Join ILI Board of Directors

Independent Living, Inc. welcomes Jocelyn G. DeWitt, PhD, and Jonathan B. Jaffery, MD, as the newest members of the nonprofit organization’s board of directors.
DeWitt is senior vice president and chief information officer (CIO) at UW Health. The first CIO at UW Health, she oversees the Health Information Services Department, an integration of UW Medical Foundation Information Services and UW Hospitals and Clinics Information Technology Systems. Previously, she was CIO for the University of Michigan Hospitals and Health Centers, where she developed and implemented the first information system strategic plan. She has an undergraduate degree from UW-Madison, master’s degree from Boston University, and doctorate from University of Illinois.
Dr. Jaffery is chief population officer at UW Health, and president/CEO of UW Health ACO. He is a practicing nephrologist and associate professor of medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. A 2010-2011 Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Health Policy Fellow, Dr. Jaffery worked with the Congressional Senate Committee on Finance on issues relating to health delivery system and payment reform. A graduate of the University of Michigan and Ohio State University College of Medicine, Dr. Jaffery completed a residency in internal medicine and nephrology at the University of Vermont. While on the faculty at UW-Madison, he earned a master of science degree in population health.
Also serving on the 13-member board of directors are Tom Shorter, board president and attorney with Godfrey & Kahn; Saul Glazer, board vice president and attorney with Axley Brynelson; Dennis Thompson, board secretary/treasurer and retired insurance product director; Jeff Bowles, vice president at Merrill Lynch; Carroll Heideman, retired educator; Herb Held, director of government program at WPS Health Insurance; Loretta Himmelsbach, executive director of Wisconsin Council of the Blind and Visually Impaired; Brent Lindell, market manager with Savant Capital Management; Heidi Lucarelli, RN and community volunteer; Doug Stoffels, financial analysis manager at American Family Insurance, and Jane Voichick, professor emerita from UW-Madison.
